Hyderabad: After a meeting of the State cabinet, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao yesterday said, that since the change of government in Andhra Pradesh, the handing over of Secretariat, Assembly buildings is almost complete and they may officially hand over tomorrow along with issuing orders.
“In the aftermath of these two buildings becoming vacant, we have come to the decision to definitely build secretariat building and also Assembly building,” he told reporters.
He also said to resolve bilateral issues amicably, the Telangana government would be adopting cordial ties with neighbouring States.
TRS chief on Monday had visited Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in Amaravati to invite him for the inauguration of Kaleswaram irrigation project on 21 June. Governor ESL Narasimhan would grace the event. Apart from YSRC chief, Rao has also invited Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis as the chief guest.
Rao also said AP and Telangana governments have decided to fully utilise about 5,000 TMC of river water available to them. Also, the Cabinet has decided to implement the new Panchayat Raj Act effectively. The municipal elections would also be completed in the State by July. He further slammed Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy for his reported comments that Hyderabad has become a safe haven for terror elements.
