Chennai: The Vidya Mandir Alumni Association will conduct the Annual Gautam Memorial double-wicket tournament for schools at the Amir Mahal Grounds, Royapettah on 29 and 30 June.
Former Ranji Trophy and South Zone Cricketer, PC Prakash will inaugurate the 16-team league and knock out tournament.
The tournament is held in the memory of former Ranji Trophy player and Vidya Mandir Alumnus, N Gautham. The VMAA has been conducting this tournament successfully for many years and some of the players who have played this tournament have gone on to don the state and national cap as well.
The prize distribution and valedictory function will be held on June 30 at 3 pm. Former TN cricketer and MRF Pace Foundation, head coach, M Senthilnathan has consented to be the chief guest and distribute the prizes.
