
Chennai: Rotary Club of Chennai Noble Hearts was inaugurated in the city and new office-bearers were elected.
According to a press release, Mahaveer Karnawat was elected as president, Kajal Lalwani as secretary, Kushal Khabiya as club admin and P Gautam Bothra as advisor.
The club is sponsored by Rotary Club of Anna Nagar Madras, hereafter will be known in Rotary as Parent Club.
Rotary Club of Chennai Noble Hearts inaugurated two major long-term projects – ‘Gaumaa’ a sacred project, which aims at sponsoring and taking care of a Goshala in Maduranthakam, Kancheepuram district and feeding Gomatha (Cow) which is considered sacred in our tradition.
The second project – Muskaan – will feed pigeons on occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries of members.
On the occasion, the club felicitated Chennai-based eminent personalities Miss India ‘Tamilnadu’ Sherlin Seth, race engineer Jennifer Christa Paul and abstract artist Swathi Nahar for their significant contributions.
The installation ceremony saw the presence of Rotary District Governor Babu Peram, Rotarians and SPR High Living managing director Hitesh P Kawad.
