“I want to do movies that are strikingly different from the rest,” says actor Sundeep Kishan.
Kannadi, which will be released in Tamil and Telugu, is directed by Caarthik Raju, who had earlier made Thirudan Police. It has Sundeep Kishan and Anya Singh in the lead role, with Karunakaran as comedian. Varma cranks the camera while Thaman is the music director.
Speaking at a press meet, Sundeep Kishan, said, “It has been 12 years since I started acting. I am acting only for the audience and not for myself but nowadays I am afraid to act in films because every film crew has to struggle to get their movie realased. Even for this film to get a release, we are struggling. We are confident that we have quality content on hand.”
Speaking about the movie, he said, “In Kannadi, every 20 minutes, the story’s dimension will change. Moreover it is a story that starts in the year 2043 and finish in the present. After watching the movie, if anyone calls it a horror movie, I am ready to quit acting.”
Anctor Anya Singh said, “I am happy to make by debut in Tamil through Kannadi. The movie is a thriller which will also have romance and comedy.”
Director Kaarthik Raju said, “I finished writing the story in three days and went to producer Viji Subramanian who readily agreed to produce it. It was Sundeep who wished to do the film in Telugu as well and said that he will produce it. The scenes involving Sundeep and Karunakaran will be enjoyed by all.”
It is produced by Viji Subramaniam and plans are on for a release soon.
