Chennai: Air Commodore D S Dagar assumed as command of Air Force Station Avadi from Air Commodore J Rajendra, 1 July.
According to an official press release, Dagar was commissioned into the Indian Air Force 7 June 1986. He is a graduate in Law and Science from Delhi University.
The Air Officer has held many appointments at senior level which include his tenures as Chief Administrative Officer of a premier Air Force Station, Director Personnel Airmen at Air Headquarters and an important assignment as a member of the Air Force Pay Commission Cell at the Directorate of Finance at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan).
Prior to taking over the command of Avadi station, the Air Officer held the post of Air Commodore Air Veterans at DAV (Air HQ), New Delhi. He has been commended by Air Officer Commanding-in- Chief in 2005 and by the Chief of the Air Staff in 2007 for his exceptional performance as an officer in the administrative branch of the Indian Air Force, the release said.
