Coimbatore: A man belonging to a gang of four was arrested by the Tamilnadu police yesterday for attempting to rob two brothers.

The brothers hailing from Malappuram were on their way to Kerala near Madukkarai in a car with garments worth Rs 1.73 lakh for sale. The gang had allegedly followed the car and waylaid them by introducing themselves as IT officials.

But when they found only clothes inside the car, they attempted to leave. The brothers caught one of them and handed him over to police.

During investigation police found that the gangsters had masqueraded themselves as IT officials. Look out for the other members are on.
