Chennai: Miscreants decamped with gold, silver and cash from the house of a policewoman at Kilpauk yesterday.

According to the police, Selvarani, an Inspector of police with the City Crime Branch, lived in the police quarters, Kilpauk.

Yesterday, it came to light that two sovereigns of gold, silver articles and Rs 5,000 were missing from her house. However, there was no sign of forced entry or a break-in at her house.

The police are analysing the CCTV footage to nail the culprit. It is not known when the burglary took place as it came to her notice only yesterday.
