Chennai: Formosa Circus Art group, Taiwan’s first circus company staged ‘The Heart of Asia’ on 2 July in Chennai. The 75-minute production witnessed a merge of circus techniques and traditional music and dance from various Taiwan ethnic sects.
It is an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was organised by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in Chennai (TECC), in a bid to strengthen the cultural exchange with the New Southbound Policy target countries, across Southeast Asia, South Asia and Australasia.
The circus crew will perform ‘The Heart of Asia’ in New Delhi, 6 July.
