Smart India Hackathon hardware edition finale gets underway

Chennai: Persistent Systems in association with MHRD, AICTE, MIC, and i4C is co-organizing Smart India Hackathon 2019 – Hardware edition. The five-day grand finale was flagged off on Monday.

A release said this year, Smart India Hackathon’s Hardware edition has presented technical students with problems statements identified by nine Union Ministries and for the first time from over 40 private sector industries.

The final rounds of the Hardware Edition are currently held at 18 nodal centers in India till 12 July.

Chief architect and delivery head, Persistent Systems, and secretary, Executive Committee, Smart India Hackathon 2019, Vivek Kulkarni, said, “Smart India Hackathon aids technology students to collaborate for effectiveness, problem solving, innovation and learning by doing. After the grand success of Software edition, now we are hosting Hardware edition Grand Finale on 8-12 July at 18 nodal centers PAN India. With over one lakh student participation, the Hardware edition is five times grander than its predecessor. We are very sure that 1,500 finalists will crack 198 complex problems given by 40-plus private organizations and nine Union ministries.”
