Chennai: A gang hacked two persons to death at Tambaram this morning.
According to the police, the victims were identified as Pradeep (30), who ran an ironing shop, and Suresh (30). The incident took place at Arputham Nagar close to Pradeep’s house.
The duo was on the roadside chatting, when some persons came on two-wheelers and hacked them.
The police said the duo received grievous injuries and died on the spot.
One of the assailants abandoned his two-wheeler at the spot while fleeing.
The police arrived at the spot, recovered the bodies and sent them to Chrompet Government Hospital for post-mortem.
It is said Pradeep and Suresh were involved in local fights and police received complaints against them.
