Chennai: In a shocking incident, a man stabbed his daughter’s friend after he failed to keep his word on marrying her yesterday.
According to sources, Sakthivel stabbed Lawrence (25) near Ambattur Railway Station last night. A resident of Athipet, Sakthivel’s daughter Archana (name changed) became friends with Lawrence through Facebook. The duo knew each other for a year and had decided to get married. Lawrence ran a mobile phone shop in Ambattur.
However, recently, Lawrence went back on his word and declined to marry Archana. Angered by this, Sakthivel stabbed Lawrence. He is now in police custody.
