Erode: In a tragic incident, a 72-year-old man died after he was trampled by an elephant in Burgur forest on Thursday.
The deceased Kenjan was in Manjal Parai area while herding his cattle home on Thursday. Manjal Parai had frequent elephant movement and entry of people was restricted in the area. When he did not return home, some villagers along with forest and police officials went looking for him.
They found Kenjan’s body with injuries in the forest and it came to be known that he was killed in an elephant attack.
