Chennai: Mahendran, the man for whom two women allegedly eliminated an auto driver in Nerkundram, surrendered before the Koyambedu police this morning. The police were searching for him since Sunday.
Nagaraj (28) was murdered by his wife Gayatri (26) and Mahendran’s wife Banu (29), sources said. They smothered him with a pillow and strangled him with a dupatta.
An investigation officer said the post-mortem report has confirmed that he was strangled to death.
The police said Gayatri decided to kill Nagaraj after he came to know that she was in a relationship with Mahendran.
Nagaraj had often said that he would kill Mahendran who was his friend but had an affair with Gayatri.
Gayatri told Banu about this a couple of days ago. Following this, both of them conspired to kill Nagaraj and executed the plan.
