Chennai: MDMK general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vaiko today met senior BJP leader L K Advani. He was accompanied by his wife, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
Vaiko who is in New Delhi has been meeting several leaders. Yesterday he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after which he said he had a fruitful interaction.
“Even after my bitterest criticism of his government, he gave me a warm welcome. I am really happy. Modi told me I was an emotional man and that he did not mistake me. He said I was committed to my principles,” he added.
Earlier, Vaiko had met BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy. He also paid tributes to a life-size statue of his mentor and former Tamilnadu Chief Minister C N Annadurai on the premises of the Parliament. He also paid tributes to former Chief Minister K Kamaraj and freedom fighter Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.
