Sivaganga: A month after stealing ancient panchaloha idols, worth several lakhs of rupees, from a temple near Manamadurai, the robbers returned them back.
According to a media report the priest found the idols of Vishnu, Sri Devi and Bhudevi left abandoned in front of the temple yesterday.
The robbers must have not been able to smuggle them out fearing surveillance said the report. The idols were stolen on 18 June. Special poojas for the idols will be conducted before they could be ready for worship by the devotees.
