Chennai: C N Sridhar, a resident of Ashok Nagar, won the Table Tennis – Singles crown, defeating Louis Sundar (11-5, 11-7) in the finals in straight sets in the YMCA Table Tennis tournament held at YMCA Ashok Nagar Chapter, 13 July.
Sridhar finished on top of the table at the end of the league matches in group A with 11 points and easily disposed of C Sridhar of IOCL in the semi-finals; Louis Sundar defeated Arunachalam of Oriental Bank of Commerce (11-8, 6-11, 11-9) , in a hard fought match.
Arunachalam defeated C Sridhar (11-7, 8-11,11-9) in the play-off for third position
Sridhar is training hard for the upcoming North Eastern Regional Masters to be held in Shillong August.
