Chennai: V Sanjeev Kumar (5/20) bagged a five-wicket haul as State Bank of India Recreation Club defeated Gandhi Nagar Starlets Club by four wickets in a TNCA Fourth Division ‘A’ match here.
Batting first, Gandhi Nagar was bowled out for a paltry 102 in 33.3 overs courtesy Sanjeev’s match-winning spell. The victor reached its target in 28.2 overs, losing six wickets during the chase.
In another fixture, V Harish Bharath (142 not out) struck an unbeaten century to propel Mylapore Recreation Club to a six-wicket success over Purasawalkam Cricket Club. G Vignesh (101 not out) also hit a ton in Madras United Club’s win over Social Cricket Club.
