Chennai: “I don’t keep count of my movies. I want to be part of quality products,” says actor Kreshna.

Kazhugu 2 starring Kreshna in the lead and directed by Sathya Siva releases today. A sequel to his earlier hit, the movie is produced by Singaravelan. It has Bindhu Madhavi as heroine.

Speaking about Kazhugu 2, Kreshna, says, “It was a great learning experience working in the movie. We shot in deep jungle. The whole crew gave their best.”

Excerpts from his interview
Q: Tell us about Kazhugu 2?
A: It has a wonderful story. It involves a lot of graphics. We thoroughly enjoyed making the movie. We shot for 40 days in Marayoor forest. Along with locals, we even laid roads in the village.

Q: What is special in the sequel?
A: Though a sequel, it is not a continuation of part one. The first part was about people who retrieve bodies of those who end their lives. But there would be some influence of it in Kazhugu 2.

Q: Your venture to Malayalam cinema…
A: I was getting a lot of offers from Malayalam industry, But I was waiting for the right script. The makers of Picasso narrated the script to me and I readily agreed to be part of it.

Q: What kind of roles do you want to do?
A: I want to do varied characters. I strongly believe that content is the king. All my films including Kazhugu, Pandigai, Yamirukka Bayamen and Maari 2 are different from each other.

Q: What are your forthcoming films?
A: Besides Kazhugu 2 and Picasso, I have lined up a couple of projects. Formal announcement will be made soon.
