The first look poster which was revealed on Monday said that Namma Veetu Pillai will hit screens in September. The actor was seen holding a sledgehammer in the poster, with several men in the backdrop running towards him. Touted as a family entertainer, the film features Aishwarya Rajesh and Anu Emmanuel as the lead.
The director Pandiraj said in an interview that the script was initially written for Suriya. But Suriya’s commitments to other project made Pandiraj to proceed the film with Sivakarthikeyan as the lead. Sivakarthikeyan is also working on a project titled Hero, directed by PS Mithran of Irumbu Thirai fame.
