New Delhi: A day after the Delhi High Court refused to grant P Chidambaram any protection from arrest in the INX media case, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today slammed the BJP government over the action of probe agencies against him.
“An extremely qualified and respected member of the Rajya Sabha, P Chidambaram ji has served our nation with loyalty for decades including as Finance Minister & Home Minister,” Priyanka Gandhi said in a tweet. She also added that he speaks truth and exposes the failures of this government unhesitatingly and so he was being shamefully hunted. Priyanka further stated that the Congress stood by him.
Following the High Court ruling, a team of CBI officers landed at Chidambaram’s residence at Jor Bagh but could not find the leader there.
