Hyderabad: Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar yesterday informed that the Union Labour Ministry is planning to set up its office in Jammu and Kashmir.

This initiative will help serve Jammu, Kashmir, Leh and Ladakh regions, said Gangwar speaking to reporters.

The minister also said he sought the cooperation of Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy in the effort. When he was asked about the meeting of the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) of Employees Provident Fund that was held in Hyderabad yesterday, he said it was a regular meeting of the CBT board and that it had a normal agenda.

The meeting was attended by representatives of employees, employers and State governments, added Gangwar.
