Srinagar: The police arrested two youngsters for allegedly killing a driver, Noor Mohammed Dar (42), in the early hours of today by throwing stones at his truck.
The incident took place in South Kashmir’s Zradipora in Uranhall locality of Bijbehara area in Anantnag district, said a media report. While two were arrested, the police have detained six. They are being questioned in connection with the incident.
The report said that the youngsters had flung stones at the truck after mistaking it to be a security force vehicle. The driver who was injured was rushed to a nearby district hospital. He was declared dead at the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences at Soura in the outskirts of Srinagar.
