Chennai: Comedian Appukutty plays the lead role in a movie titled Vaazhga Vivasayi. As the title suggests, the movie speaks about the travails of farmers in the country. Directed by Ponnimohan, it is bankrolled by K Kathiresan. Vasundahara plays the heroine. Hello Kandhaswamy, Srikalki, Muthuraman, Dhileepan are also in the cast. Music is by Kayakrish K and cinematography by Rathan Chandawath.
Speaking about the movie, Appukutty, says, “After Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai, I wanted to do quality movies. I am impressed with the story narrated by Ponnimohan. Hailing from a village, I know how farmers suffer. We got a wonderful producer and the shoot began.”
Asked about Vasundahara, Appukutty, says, “She is a phenomenal talent. I was initially worried about our pairing on screen. But she did a remarkable job and the end product has come well.”
