Telangana CM expands Cabinet, inducts son


Chennai: Chandrasekhar Rao expanded his Cabinet by inducting six new Ministers for whom the Governor Tamilisai administered the oath of office and secrecy on Sunday.

The Chief Minister extended his 12-member Cabinet for the first time, making it 18, which also includes woman Ministers. Chandrasekhar Rao’s son Rama Rao and nephew Harish Rao were also given Cabinet berth. Slogans in support of Rama Rao rent the air even when he entered the lawns 10 minutes ahead of the proceedings.

Earlier in the day, Chief Justice of Telangana High Court Raghavendra Singh Chouhan administered oath of office and secrecy to Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad, Sunday in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
