Chennai: Governor Banwarilal Purohit inaugurated a new meditation hall constructed at the Melmaruvathur Aadhiparasakthi Siddhar Peedam Thursday.
Speaking at the event, the Governor said he was delighted to have worshipped the goddess in the temple. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conferred the Padma Shri award for devotion to Bangaru Adigalar. I am hopeful that very soon he will be conferred with the Padma Bushan as well. Apart from spirituality, he has also contributed to education and medicine.”
“I would also like to appreciate the efforts of Lakshmi Bangaru Adigalar for completing this meditation hall,” the Governor said.
