Chennai: A young woman ended her life at North Usman Road, T Nagar yesterday.
According to police, N Parameswari (21), a native of Tirunelveli, worked at Saravana Stores in North Usman Road as a cashier.
She had been employed there for the past three years and lived in the firm’s hostel.
Yesterday being her weekly off, she stayed in her room and consumed a hair dye.
On seeing this, her roommate informed their supervisor Das who rushed her to a private hospital.
She died at 11.30 pm. Police said she took the extreme step as she was unhappy that her parents quarreled often.
