Chennai: Medium pacer Dennis Michael Joseph’s stellar effort of five for 24 paved the way for Wheels Ind RC to record a six-wicket win over Thiruvallur CC in the TNCA-Thiruvallur DCA League Championship.
Dennis received good support from C Suresh, who scalped three wickets for 29 runs, as Thiruvallur was shot out for 93. In reply, Wheels Ind faced little difficulty in chasing it down. Meanwhile, hat-trick hero S Seetharam’s spell of four for 42 went in vain as his team, India Japan Lighting, went down meekly to Lucas TVS by 149 runs.
