Chennai: Due to heat impact, rains may lash Tamilnadu and Puducherry for the next two days, said the Indian Meteorological Department today.
Officials stated that the sky condition is likely to be cloudy in Chennai.
An official communique said, ”Rain is likely to occur at a few places over Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Theni, Dindigul, Coimbatore and Salem districts of Tamilnadu and light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over coastal Tamilnadu and Puducherry.”
It may be noted that several parts of Chennai received rainfall this morning that resulted in traffic snarls in key stretches like GST Road, Anna Salai and Taramani. However, they were later cleared.
