Chennai: Manibharathi, who worked as associate to Maniratnam, Vasanth and Saran is making his foray as actor and filmmaker with Battery. Bankrolled by Mathaiyan of Sri Annamalaiyar Movies, it features Asuran fame Ammu Abirami as heroine.
Speaking about the movie, Mani Bharathi, says, “People welcome movies that have good storeyline. Battery is about the challenges that poor people face when they go for treatment in hospitals. It is a medical thriller and it is based on real-life incidents.”
Manibharathi plays a sub inspector in the movie. George Maryan of Kaithi fame is also in the cast. Rajkumar and Nagendra Prasadh are also in the cast.
