Santhosh P Jayakumar is directing the sequel of his hit adult comedy film Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu. Shalu Shamu, who was last seen playing a small role in Sivakarthikeyan’s Mr Local, has been roped in to play the female lead. Buzz is that Shalu Shamu will play a bold character in the film and she has already started working on it. An official announcement will be made soon. The film also features stars like Daniel Anne Pope, Rajendran, Chaams, and Manobala in important roles.
Says Shalu, “I am a native of Nagercoil. I was brought up in Chennai. After seeing my pictures on social media, the makers of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam cast me in their film. It is a competitive world. I want to give my best in cinema. Thanks to the support of my family, I am able to concentrate on cinema.”
A trained Bharathanatyam dancer, Shalu says, “I want to be remembered by the audience as an actress, who can perform any kind of roles.”
