Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has congratulated senior officials including Chief Secretary, Director General of Police and Secretaries of various departments for Tamilnadu emerging number one in the Good Governance Index released by the government of India recently.
Extending New Year greetings, the Chief Minister in his appreciation letter thanked all officials who worked sincerely which enabled the State to achieve the distinction.
”I would like to state that Hon’ble Amma’s dream of makingĀ Tamilnadu a ‘Numero Uno’ State has been realised. However, constantĀ and consistent efforts are required to retain this coveted position and.Ā improvement is required in certain sectors which I am sure we will be ableĀ to achieve,” he said.
The Chief Minister also requested the officials to take utmost care and attention of the performance of the departments in the delivery of public services so that the benefits of Good Governance will continue to reach the people of Tamilnadu.
