CHENNAI: Spoken English classes will be provided for government school students between standard three and 12, every week for 45 minutes. Industrial training will also be given on holidays every week for Plus-Two students, said State School Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan.

Speaking after releasing the books Vithiyasamthaan Azhagu and Ulagam Piranthathu Namakkaga  at a function organised by Agaram Foundation here Sunday, Sengottaiyan, said, ‘Various assistance provided by Suriya’s Agaram Foundation to students shows his humane nature’.

On his part, Suriya said, “In the last 10 years, we have helped over 3,000 students study. I thank all the philanthropists, socially conscious educational institutions among others who helped us to achieve this.”

He revealed that an association called “Inai” will be formed by Agaram in association with former students of government schools to develop educational institutions. I thank Sengottaiyan for extending his support for it.

Ramraj Dhoti founder Nagaraj, professor S Maaadasamy, educationists and people from various walks of lives took part.
