Chennai: In spite of his tall stature and popularity, actor Rajinikanth is still down-to-earth and humble. It was a pleasure meeting him, said former Chief Minister of Sri Lanka Northern Province C V Vigneswaran.
Speaking about his meeting with Rajinikanth, Vigneswaran, said, ”It was a wonderful meeting. We never discussed politics. There is no iota of truth in reports that I invited him to visit Sri Lanka”.
”Our conversation was more spiritual in nature. Though he has gained immense name and fame not just in India but also in countries like Japan, he was simple. His child-like innocence, divine belief and friendly gestures deserve special mention”.
After meeting him, I came to know his good qualities. I consider this meeting a moment to cherish in my life, he added.
Meanwhile, Dravida Viduthalai Kazhagam in Coimbatore today lodged a police complaint against Rajinikanth alleging that he tried to tarnish the image of rationalist leader Periyar by stating wrong information about him while attending an event organised by Thuglaq magazine recently.
