CHENNAI: The city police is searching for a four-member gang who attacked and robbed a man of his mobile phone at T P Chathiram here Sunday.
Police said, Mukesh (20) from Bihar worked at a construction site and lived with his co-worker at T P Chathiram. Last night, after work he was returning home. A woman who was on the roadside with a child stopped him and asked direction to an address.
At that time, three people came to him with a knife and began threatening him for his phone. When he resisted they attacked him and forcefully took it away.
Police said the woman was part of the gang. T P Chathiram police are conducting inquiries.
