Chennai: Tamil comedy actor ‘Bonda’ Mani has refuted reports which claimed that he was suffering from coronavirus. ”I am in film shoot. Please don’t believe rumours about me,” he said.
Meanwhile, close to 10 persons, including eight from China, have been admitted to hospitals in Tamilnadu with coronavirus symptoms. A girl medical student, who came from China with fever symptoms, was admitted to the Mundiyambakkam Government Medical College and Hospital in Villuppuram disrict.
The student returned from China last night and was suffering from fever and sore throat. She was admitted to the isolation ward and was being monitored. Her condition was stable. Her blood samples went sent to the King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research in Chennai for testing for coronavirus.
The District Collector and the Directorate of Health Services have been informed. Officials however said none of them has been confirmed with coronavirus so far.
