Chennai: The Crime Branch-CID has arrested one more person in connection with the Tamilnadu Public Service (TNPSC) scam.
According to police, the man was identified as Ashok. He is being quizzed by the CB-CID regarding his involvement in the malpractise. Ashok is said to be a government servant and lives in the city.
It may be noted that the CB-CID is investigating the alleged large scale malpractice in TNPSC examinations, including the 2019 Group IV exam, 2017 Group 2A exam and the 2016 VAO test. So far, over 47 people, including agents, government staff and candidates have been arrested.
The main accused Jayakumar of Mugappair is said to have taken Rs 5.83 crore from various candidates who wanted to clear the TNPSC exam through fraud.
