Thanjavur: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today said that DMK president M K Stalin was always thinking about him. Palaniswami took part in the marriage of AIADMK Rajya Sabha MP R Vaithilingam’s son here.
Speaking at the event, he said, ”We do not have to advertise our ourselves in newspapers as Stalin does that everyday. There is not even a single day where he does not talk about us. I do not know what grudge he has against farmers. Whenever I say that I am a farmer, Stalin says no, what can I do for that. I was born in a farmer’s family, so I can call myself as a farmer. How else can I tell it?”
He further said everyone gets an opportunity in life. ”I got one such opportunity and now I have become Chief Minister because of you all,” he added.
Palaniswami added that it is a pride to call oneself as a farmer. ”They do not have the necessity to work under anyone else. Except for farmers, everyone is dependent on someone. Farmers are born to work and feed others,” he said.
