Chennai: Tamilnadu witnessed more Covid-19 cases late last night. In a tweet, Health Minister Dr C VIjayabaskar said three more persons are affected and they are from Chennai, Walajah and Perundurai.
He said, “3 new positive cases of #covid19 in TN. 18 Y M contact of 2nd Pt at #RGGH. 63 Y M Dubai return at #Walajah GH. 66 Y M contact of Thai nationals at #IRTT, Perundurai. Pts are in isolation & stable.”
Meanwhile, the Union government has approved a new testing centre in the State. He said, “The third Private #COVID19 testing lab for TN is approved by @MoHFW_INDIA. Testing can be done at Neuberg Ehrlich Lab Pvt Ltd, Balaji Nagar , Chennai.”
These updates have come amid the 21-day curfew announcement called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even as the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami made a televised address to stay safe, while calling for driving out the virus from the State with an united fight.
