Chennai: DMK president and Leader of Oppoistion M K Stalin today met leaders of his party through video chat to take stock of the impact of coronavirus spread and how much work his party workers were doing for the public.
M Subramaniam, Saidapet MLA and DMK South Chennai district secretary, DMK legislator S Austin of Kanyakumari and MLA P K Sekarbabu were among those who connected with him on video conference.
He asked Austin of how people of Kanyakumari were doing since it was bordering with Kerala, where high numbers of coronavirus cases were being reported. He also asked what the party workers were doing for the public and asked them to continue sanitising and cleaning public places, besides admitting needy persons to the hospital.
Earlier, Stalin had said that an all party meeting must be held through video conferencing. “Confidence among public would be built only if the ruling and opposition worked together,” he had said.
