Chiranjeevi will resume work for his upcoming film Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva.
It looks like the actor is on a film signing spree as rumours are doing the rounds that he will star in the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit flick, Lucifer.
According to reports close to the team, Chiranjeevi had secured the remake rights of Mohanlal’s Lucifer to produce it under his banner, Konidela Productions.
Now, speculations have surfaced that director Sujeeth, who helmed Saaho, has been roped in to direct the Telugu remake.
A source close to the film’s team confirmed the same and revealed that the film will go on floors once Chiranjeevi completes Acharya.
Currently, Sujeeth is working on the film’s script and the pre-production work is going on in full swing.
The original film, which marked the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, saw Mohanlal playing the lead role. In the Telugu remake, Chiranjeevi will reprise his role.
