Chennai: Tamilnadu saw a significant spike in coronavirus cases on Sunday with 105 fresh positive cases, as the tally swellled to 1,477, even as 46 more patients were discharged, taking the numbers to 411.
An official release here said a total of 105 people, including a whopping 50 from Chennai, tested positive taking the coronavirus tally in Tamilnadu from 1,372 to 1,477.
This included four PG medicos providing treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH) and a tenth standard student in Chennai, besides a two-day-old infant in Coimbatore.
A total of 46 people were discharged today, including 24 in Coimbatore and nine in Tiruppur, as those returned home after treatment went up to 411. No fresh deaths were reported for the third successive day as the toll
remained at 15.
