Chennai: Amid a raise in coronavirus cases in Tamilnadu, a good number of affected persons are also being discharged after completely recovering from the pandemic.
Today alone, 10 persons were discharged in Perundurai in Erode district and 48 Karur. Doctors and health officials gave them a warm send-off by clapping their hands and wishing them a healthy life.
Tamilnadu saw a significant spike in coronavirus cases on Sunday with 105 fresh positive cases, as the tally swellled to 1,477, even as 46 more patients were discharged, taking the numbers to 411.
An official release here said a total of 105 people, including a whopping 50 from Chennai, tested positive taking the coronavirus tally in Tamilnadu from 1,372 to 1,477.
