Chennai: Royapuram has a staggering number of 92 Coronavirus cases till today. Eversince the outbreak, this north Chennai neighbourhood is topping Chennai’s corona meter.
The Greater Chennai Corporation released an area-wise break up of number of cases in the city in its 15 zones. In total, there are 303 cases with 18 fresh cases being reported.
Royapuram is followed by Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar with 39 patients, Teynampet with 38 cases and Tondiarpet and Kodambakkam with 37 and 31 cases, respectively. Anna Nagar has 27 cases.
Sholinganallur has the least number with just two cases. Places such as Ambattur and Manali have not reported a single case of Covid-19.
As per the data, Thiruvottiyur has nine Coronavirus positive cases, Madhavaram has three patients who tested positive, Valsaravakkam has five patients with the infection, there are five patients in Alandur and there are seven patients each in Adyar and Perungudi.
