In these tough Covid – 19 times, communities have rallied to support each other. The world of music is doing its bit to help conserve India’s beautiful folk music heritage and its artists, who are currently at the risk of losing their livelihoods as a result of the virus and its effect on the live music industry. Artistes are coming together to support the folk music community and its families by helping to raise funds towards a special folk artist relief fund.
‘Let’s folk together’ is a music series featuring renowned and talented musicians and stars in India like Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant, Amit Trivedi, Papon, Raghu Dixit, Mame Khan and others performing their favorite folk songs from their homes. This initiative, enabled by Believe Entertainment in partnership with Anahad Foundation, will help raise funds for folk artistes.
