Chennai: HDFC Life Insurance has announced financial results for the year ended 31 March, 2020.
According to a press release, its net profit stood at Rs 1,295 crore, up marginal one percent as compared to Rs 1,277 crore for the period ending 31 March, 2019.
The total premium collected during the 12-month period stood at Rs 32,707 crore, up 12 per cent as compared to Rs 29,186 crore collected during corresponding period last year.
The total number of insured lives for HDFC Life increased to 6.1 crore, growing by 19% as compared to last year.
“In the first 15 days of lockdown, HDFC Life has settled 3,000 maturity claims, 300 death/ health claims, and made 21,000 annuity payouts, and processed 95,000 transactions,” it added.
