Chennai: AMMK founder T T V Dhinakaran today said he is shocked by the Union government’s move to bring the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) under the Union Jal Shakti Ministry.
“This has to be cancelled immediately. The State government and DMK which has more than 40 MPs in the Parliament should pressurise the Central government to revoke the decision,” he said.
DMK president and Leader of Opposition in Tamilnadu Assembly, M K Stalin today said that party will stage a protest if the Central government does not revoke its decision to bring the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) under the Union Jal Shakti Ministry.
In a statement he said that the CWMA will just be a puppet in the hands of the Ministry.
