Chennai: The neighbourhood of Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar continues to be in the lead in Chennai with highest number of Covid-19 patients.
According to data from Greater Chennai Corporation which released an area-wise breakup today, there are as many as 324 Coronavirus positive cases in the locality.
Royapuram, which had the highest number of Covid-19 cases in the city since the lockdown, has 275 cases as on today. However, the numbers are not showing a decline.
Kodambakkam has become another large hotspot with 199 persons testing positive and Teynampet follows with 166 Covid-19 cases.
Anna Nagar has 130 cases and Tondiarpet has 118 persons with the infection. Valsaravakkam has 92 cases, Ambattur has 58, Adyar 29 and Thiruvottriyur 22, the release said.
Manali now has five cases. Till last week, this area did not have any case. Sholinganallur, which was in the green zone, now has six patients. Perungudi and Alandur have 10 cases each.
