Chennai: Beating its north Chennai counterparts like Royapuram and Thiru Vi Ka Nagar, which have been constantly occupying top positions in Chennai’s coronavirus meter, Kodambakkam today bagged the first place.
Kodambakkam, hub of Tamil film industry, now has 461 cases, while the number of affected persons in Thiru Vi Ka Nagar and Royapuram are 448 and 422, respectively.
According to the list released by Greater Chennai Corporation today, Teynampet now has 316 cases, Anna Nagar has 206, Valasarawakkam has 205, Tondiarpet has 184 and Ambattur, which did not have a single case till a couple of weeks ago, now has a whopping 144 cases.
As per reports, eight persons have been tested positive for Covid-19 in neighouring Kancheepuram district.
