Chennai: The Delhi based Educational World has released EW India rankings for 2020, in which India’s top 150 government Universities are considered for ranking at National and State level.
They have ranked on the basis of competency of faculty, faculty welfare & development, research & innovation, curriculum & pedagogy, industry interface, placement, infrastructure facilities, internationalism, quality of leadership & governance and range & diversity of programs offered.
Annamalai University has scored uniformly high in all the above criteria and has been ranked at 29th rank among India’s top 150 government Universities and at fifth rank in Tamilnadu as against in the range of 101-150 in the 2019 NIRF ranking.
“The sharp increase in the ranking of Annamalai University is attributed to various academic measures taken in the recent past. Annamalai University has been in the fore front in bringing innovations in teaching–learning process. The outcome based education has been introduced in all the programs where the curriculum framework outlines specific and measurable outcomes. Students have the flexibility to choose and study elective courses across the University, and opt many value added courses over and above their mandatory courses to improve their skills and enhance their employability,” said a release.
