Chennai: The commission constituted to look into the reasons for fewer government students getting admitted to medical colleges has submitted its report to Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
The commission led by retired judge P Kalaiyarasan looked into and analysed the reasons for government school students not being able to gain admission to medical colleges for MBBS.
The commission, in its report to the government, has also given recommendations to improve their admission rate, sources said.
It was on 23 March that the government had issued an order givingthe commission a month’s time to complete its analysis. However, the Commission sought 30 days’ additional time, which was granted.
